A Tribute to One of Geneva's Great Historical Figures
The name Monsieur Ador pays tribute to Gustave Ador, one of Switzerland's most distinguished political figures, who played a significant role in the history of both the Swiss Confederation and the City of Geneva. By choosing this name for a restaurant located on Quai Gustave-Ador, the establishment embraces Geneva's rich heritage while expressing a refined and contemporary identity.
From Celebrity Bodyguard to Geneva Restaurateur
The restaurant was founded by Gustave Jourdan, a Genevan with an extraordinary background. Before dedicating himself to gastronomy, he worked as a bodyguard for internationally renowned personalities, including Alain Delon, Michael Jackson, Roger Moore, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. This unique journey has shaped his vision: to create a restaurant that reflects his values, where elegance, excellence, and meticulous attention to detail are evident in every dish and every element of the décor.

A Unique James Bond-Inspired Interior
A passionate collector, Gustave Jourdan has assembled an exceptional collection of limited-edition artworks acquired at auction, now displayed throughout Monsieur Ador. These carefully selected pieces pay tribute to the iconic world of James Bond and to Roger Moore, whom Gustave had the privilege of protecting for many years.
This distinctive artistic vision makes Monsieur Ador a one-of-a-kind destination in Geneva's culinary scene, where the elegance of a chic French brasserie meets the timeless glamour of classic cinema.

French Cuisine with Mediterranean Influences
Before opening Monsieur Ador, founder Gustave Jourdan enjoyed an extraordinary career as a bodyguard to some of the world's most iconic personalities. Today, he brings the same dedication, precision, and attention to detail to creating a unique dining experience in the heart of Geneva.
