Monsieur Ador: Between Bistronomy and the World of James Bond
During my recent visit to Geneva, I discovered a unique address: Monsieur Ador. Located at the beginning of Quai Gustave-Ador, overlooking the Jet d’Eau, this restaurant combines refined bistronomic cuisine with a distinctive universe inspired by James Bond.
A Creator with an Unusual Journey
The owner, Gustave Jourdan, is no ordinary restaurateur. A former bodyguard to iconic figures such as Alain Delon, Michael Jackson, and Roger Moore, he spent many years working in personal security before turning to gastronomy. This unexpected career change gives his establishment a truly unique character: here, every detail reflects the personality and journey of its owner.
Cuisine to Delight Discerning Food Lovers
In the kitchen, Chef Jérémy Schambacher offers a creative and carefully crafted menu, where bistronomy takes on the elegance of fine dining. I had the pleasure of tasting dishes that showcased high-quality ingredients, accompanied by a carefully selected wine list. It comes as no surprise that the restaurant has received praise from critics, including Sébastien Ripari in the Geneva Food Guide, who even highlights its potential for a Michelin star.

Monsieur Ador, the Remarkable Restaurant of the Bodyguard and James Bond
As the owner of a specialized security company, Gustave Jourdan has worked as a bodyguard for Alain Delon, Michael Jackson, Roger Moore and Arnold Schwarzenegger. For the past nine months, the Geneva-based entrepreneur has been serving customers in a different capacity, through Monsieur Ador — a fine bistronomic restaurant and a temple dedicated… to James Bond.

At Monsieur Ador, Between James Bond and French Cuisine
In the new Geneva brasserie on the eponymous quay, the décor pays tribute to the famous secret agent, while the dishes celebrate contemporary French cuisine.
To decorate his Monsieur Ador brasserie, Gustave Jourdan used limited-edition artworks that he had begun collecting at auctions.

A bistronomic cuisine that puts the spotlight on carefully sourced, high-quality ingredients
This contemporary brasserie, with its stylish décor, conceals a kitchen that could well earn a Michelin star in the near future.

A Tribute to Monsieur Ador
A prominent figure in Swiss politics, Monsieur Ador left his mark on the history of the Confederation. To honour his legacy, a restaurant bearing his name has opened its doors in Geneva, at 1 Quai Gustave Ador.
